Toilet....

Beck has finally learned that if he goes pee-pee in the toilet, he gets a treat at the coffeehouse. I keep trying with Jennifer, but she won't give me any similar deal.

Spring Weather

A few from the yard, which is actually dry for the first time in many, many, many, many months. Linnea loves the grass, and Beck loves to wander......

Linnea had her first taste of "real food" a few days ago, and Beck was a good cheerleader.

Beck was under the impression for nearly two years that he was the center of it all. Upon his first glimpse of the new baby, and all the attention she receives, his response was :

Here's the first photo of the new one, about 45 seconds into her new life. I don't think the umbilical cord had been cut yet. Her name is Linnea, and she was a hefty 8 pounds, 11 ounces, and the rest of the measurements were pretty average, if I remember. It was a very quick and easy delivery, especially for me. Much easier than the first birth. We are all home, relaxing, and trying to keep Beck occupied as we settle.

Halloween picture

Just a quick picture from the downtown trick-or-treating last night. Beck wasn't sure about all the people dressed up, as he was more clingy than normal. (I think the face paint / witches was a bit much....)

Halloween-ers

For Halloween, Beck dressed up as a scarecrow / farmer / hobo ..... Everyone seemed to think he was something different. The photo series above shows the "bounty" that Beck received from downtown merchants. Beck's friend, Benton, was pretty impressed. (Click on the small image for a larger version of the picture.)

This is from one of the last spurts of summer we had in late August / early September. Beck and Benton are great little buddies, and they both share a love for trucks and doggies.

photo booth

The newest gimmick is a photo booth that I use for weddings. Here's a sample of the four of us (including a transplant from Portland) in the booth. Beck didn't quite get the concept of acting "goofy" for the camera.

My first haircut

We kept hearing comments about how cute our little daughter was, so we figured it was time for a haircut. Here it is: Beck's very first trip to the barber!

Swing

Mom, Beck, and Beck's on-the-way sibling are enjoying our new swing in the backyard. Beck enjoys being outside, but it's generally on his terms, as he's getting more particular about his activities. I guess it's the independence of being two..........
