Going to Hawaii

So, after a visit to Astoria, the Grandparents grabbed Jenn and Beck and are currently on their way to Hawaii. Beck has a sunhat, gobs of sunblock, and hopefully a big umbrella to keep his white skin safe. I'm sure they'll enjoy the trip to Hawaii, and hopefully Beck will get his first dip into the ocean.

Grandpa and Grandma Geesey !

Jennifer's parents have been up for a week visiting, enjoying their first grandson. Gill has been busy at the new property south of us, hacking blackberries and contemplating a design for the lot. Beck has been a bit grumpier than normal lately, which we think is due to teeth coming in. We've been expecting teeth for weeks, but none have broken the surface yet.......

Big changes at home

We had promised more pictures from Alaska, but we managed to leave our digital camera on the plane with our pictures, so they're gone. The addition is going well, and Beck is as happy as ever. As my dad commented, we may need to start pinching him to see if he'll actually cry. We've been very busy since returning home, getting everything lined up for the addition, such as roofing, flooring, insulation, etc. A big job, but it will be great when we're done.

Fishie !

Curt, John, Trinity and I went fishing today while Jennifer, Beck and Grandmother spent time in Homer. While we didn't exactly catch anything large, we caught a halibut that is a bit longer and bigger than Beck. We had great weather today, and had a very nice day on the water. We saw a Minke whale, and quite a few sea otters while we were out fishing.
