The siding is up, it's primed, and we've started putting on the final two coats. Getting close.... When I started painting, Beck was wandering around the yard being busy. A minute later, he returned from the basement with the largest paintbrush in the basement, ready to help. That's my boy !

Jam Man, Jam.

We leave Beck for 2 minutes in the living room alone, and our jar of jam is finished for the season........ Pretty good painting, however.

summer style

We hear that wearing diapers, rubber boots and fishing hats is hip in other states other than Oregon this summer. Funny, we thought only Beck dressed this way...........

Playing in the river

Now that Jennifer is done with school, and we're finally getting summer-like weather, we're out, about and adrift. We have a little beach just down the street from our house where Beck enjoys throwing small pebbles into the water. He can sit for a half hour and toss rocks into the river....

screwdrivers and other tools

So, as mentioned in the next post, here's proof of his affinity for tools of all sorts: a Craftsman screwdriver. I was going to put up a picture with Beck running through the yard with rusty scissors, but Jenn didn't think it was appropriate.

outdoor living

Now that the eternal rain has stopped, Beck has been enjoying playing outside in our yard. He enjoys following me around and using hammers, saws, screwdrivers, nails, rocks, etc. Sniffing flowers with extra flair is a big hit. In this picture, Beck is using two cedar "sticks" to beat our lovely Rhododendron tree. Summer is fun with a little one!
